Where Every Piece Begins

Learn about how our creations come to life

Process 01

Where Ideas Take Shape

Each design comes to life in our studio using many different ways. Sometimes using a more innovative 3D modelling way , or through more traditional ways, wax carving and hot metal sculpting. These original models will then be cast into metal and polished ready for moulding.

Process 02

Preserving the Originals

Designs sometimes comes up spontaneously and never the same. So in order to preserve that creation, we make rubber moulds for them. This allows us to recreate that spontaniuous moment.

Process 03

The Wax Blueprint

Each mold is filled with wax to create duplicates. For every piece of jewellery, we pull out a wax for it. These fragile waxes are carefully inspected, any flaws like bubbles and mould lines can affect the final metal piece. It’s also the moment we make adjustments like ring sizing or design tweaks.

Process 04

From Wax to Metal

All the wax pieces are then taken to a local casting house. Casting is a magical process, where wax models turn into metal. The Casters encase the wax models into a heat resistant plaster (investment), then burns out the investment for many hours to remove the wax, leaving a hollow mould. Molten metal is poured into the mould, filling the hollow cavities, which takes shape and forms the final jewellery piece once it cools and solidifies.

Process 05

Finishing Touches

Back in our studio, we cut, grind, sand then polish each piece. Earring posts are soldered on. Chains are assembled link by link. Every detail is refined by hand, turning raw castings into shiny jewellery.
